Prior to joining ASCON, Peter ran his own successful consultancy practice, Crest Gordon Consulting (Pty) Limited, which he formed in 2004. Crest provides Corporate Finance, Business Recovery and Risk Management advice to a wide variety of businesses. Peter’s experience ranges from project financing, financial structuring, risk evaluation, capital restructuring, company recoveries and turnarounds and mentoring. In 2011 he completed the successful recapitalisation of African Dawn Capital Limited, which is listed
on the JSE (AltX) and which was extensively reported on in the media when the majority of the Executive Directors were removed at the Company’s annual general meeting in 2009. Prior to forming Crest, Peter was an executive member of Absa Corporate & Merchant Bank (now Absa Capital) and carried executive responsibility for all Absa’s foreign operations at Board level. Peter is a Council and Exco Member and Chairman of the Finance Committee at St John’s College, Johannesburg.
